I got into NYC late last night and just checked my news aggregator. What a great surprise. Best wishes to the Carroll family and a thank you to the men who ultimately decided to do the right thing and set her free.

Now, someone find them and hold them accountable for murdering Allan Enwiyah, Jill’s translator.

It’s a good day..Indeed! I saw an interview this morning of Jill Carroll and caught a few minutes of her talking about her experience. It was great to see her in such good spirits. I’m very happy for her and her family.

However, as you note their remains a tragic and unanswered part of this story and that is the murder of Allan Enwiyah and the fact that someone needs to be held accountable.

I pray for Allan’s children and their well being. I’m moved by images of him with his parents and children. Lately, I’ve asked myself to go with my emotions and respond accordingly, thus a small check is now making its way to:

Thanks for this uplifting post and the CS Monitor link with the pictures of Allan.

it’s good news on two counts. That her life was saved and she can return to her family and it shows what bullshit the team Bush spin is about the media “Not showing the good news.” When Ms. Carroll was freed , MSNBC,CNN etc. had updates all day on the event, like somehow during the day she would ecome even more relesed?!

Of course the tide is turning and since Ms. Carroll is not a clear shill for the Bushies, the attacks are starting to come.
