quick thought... April 17th, 2006 - 1:33PM
My Pathfinder was making some funky noises when I rolled into Jersey last night, so I took it to the local Nissan dealership for a check-up. $3,800 later (blown up mufflers, new struts, new breaks, etc.) I find myself, oh, a tad bit depressed.
Oh yeah, I also just discovered that I need to be self-employed for two years to qualify for a mortgage (I’m 13 months deep)… Looks like my new pad on MLK might not happen.

Damn it!!!
Sorry bro
yeah. i can’t do anything about the $3,800, but my real estate agent says that i should still be able to move on the mortgage. ugh. that’s a huge chunk of change.
Yikes!
I feel your pain. $3,800 is about the price of a First Class ticket from LAX to JFK, and for that I expect to have learnt Spanish once I land. Oh..Wait…I already speak Spanish! Japanese….will do.
As for your mortgage look on the bright side, you could be living in California where the median home just went over $500K and that buys you a “1100 sq ft. box”. The market has priced out Policemen, Teachers and Fire Fighters.
Let me know when you land your pad, so I can send you a little house warming “regalito”.
Yes, sorry to hear about your trouble as well. However, you need to talk to someone else about that loan. I got my place with a no doc loan - no documentation and no job. It’s amazing the ways they can think of to take your money…
thanks, guys. i’m contacting another bank in the morning which might be able to hook me up. and tony, i’ll definitely let you know when it happens. i live for small gifts ;)
