Since you don’t have kids (that I know of), you might not have seen the movie “Cars.” It’s mostly set at a town on Route 66 that I-40 bypassed; judging by the geography (which is also an important visual joke in the movie), I’m guessing the town is in New Mexico. On one level it’s your basic Disney movie, but there’s a nice subplot pertaining to how the bypassed towns were affected. Worth renting when it comes out on DVD.
heh. for a second there, i thought you were talking about my favorite clut-classic movie of all-time: the car.
i thought to myself, “there was a sub-plot?”
