Fareed Zakaria: …”After Guantánamo, Abu Ghraib, Haditha and more, America desperately needs a symbol that showcases its basic decency. Quibbling with the Geneva Conventions is the wrong signal, by the wrong administration, at the wrong time.”

And how are American soldiers who are taken prisoner treated in iraq?…..ya, I thought so. This planet is filled with human scum at every level. Abuse, exploit, reject.
the point is that if we want to be successful in iraq, we have to win the hearts and minds of the people. no one said that is easy, but we were the ones that decided to invade that nation and itt’s impossible to win hearts and minds if we torture, rape and murder them.
this is america. we *should not* measure ourselves against such low standards.
