Democracy, The Day After

Somehow a narrative is more important than reality.

Somehow America has become a country that projects everything that it is not and condemns everything that it is.

Somehow the most reasonable, trusted and respected country in the world has become one of the most irrational, belligerent, feared, and distrusted countries in the world.

Somehow being politically informed, diligent, and skeptical has been replaced by apathy through active ignorance.

Somehow the same incompetent, narcissistic, virtueless, vacuous, malicious criminals are still in charge of this country.

Somehow this is tolerated.

Somehow nobody is accountable for this.

In a democracy, the policy of the leaders is the policy of the people. So don’t be shocked when our grandkids bury much of this generation as traitors to the nation, to the world and to humanity. Most likely, they will come to know that “somehow was nurtured by fear, insecurity and indifference, leaving the country vulnerable to unchecked, unchallenged parasites.

Luckily this country is still a democracy. People still have a voice. People still can take action. It can start after Pat’s birthday.

Brother and Friend of Pat Tillman,
Kevin Tillman

The day that I heard Pat Tillman left the NFL to serve our country, I sat back and shook my head in amazement.

The day that I heard Pat Tillman was killed in action, I got off my ass, walked down the street and became a Big Brother.

The day after Pat Tillman’s birthday, I’ll be doing my part.

This is the best written article about one’s personal view on how our government has changed our country in so many ways. I hope Kevin takes the lead from so many voices that are crying for change.

i have a feeling that the veterans of this conflict are going to be a major part of our representative government moving forward.

they faced the same type of shit that the vets from vietnam faced, but in this information age, the lies just don’t stick as easily and the soldiers can feel the support from all americans — even the anti-war crowd.

there will be no disrespect and humiliation when they come home.

kevin and pat are two known faces and names who represent thousands upon thousands of stories of bravery, sacrifice and honor.

and somehow our government finds a new way to spit in their eye each day.
