Well, when you come right down to it has there ever been a war that was about anything other than "you have what I want?" Perhaps I am jaded but people in general, not just governments and politicians, are always looking for more. Very few people are satisfied with what they have. It is, unfortunately, a part of our nature and a driving force in everything we do.

How many wars were fought in the name of God? How many were fought in the name of freedom and liberty? The old church was interested in property and money and power/rule, just as people in power/rulers are... Have you ever read the Art of War? A must read. I feel my thoughts start to ramble, so I should stop here.

One last thought on war... it sucks, but it is an intrinsic part of our psyche. We will never shed it. But, if we are going to GO to war, then that's what it should be. An all-out war that you go in to win, not a "military peacekeeping action" that sucks the life out of you. So many better things we could focus on...

Good night!

It is easy to spend the blood of others when yours is out getting drunk and partying. The same thing happened during the Civil War. The poor were convinced to fight so the rich slave owners could keep their plantations and slaves. In fact, the poor fought for something they didn’t have.
