Video Metaphor: Government Employees
UPDATE: In the comments, Deanna explains that this is a margarine commercial, running in Canada for the past year or so. Lethargic due to butter consumption = lethargic due to government employment in my book. ;)

Not Funny , dissingenuous , a poor metaphor for a neo con propagandist
i agree with the neo con bullshit. and it’s funny that they decided to play with scene out with a woman and a black man.
i think you two are tuned in waaay too tight.
to me, this is brilliant commentary on how our tax money is wasted — shit, i’d go as far as saying it’s commentary on the corporate mindset in general. we have a (bi-partisan) congress that puts in about as much time on the job as i did during my senior year in high school working the A&P at night.
what do the neocons have to do with this?
That’s a commercial for Becel margarine. It’s been on tv in Canada for at least the last year. Their commercials make fun of how inactive and unhealthy we are, and encourage us to get more active and eat their healthy margarine.
If it seems like a not-great political statement, that’s because it was a statement about margarine.
heh. neocon margarine pushers. ;)
Funny commercial. But as a LOCAL government worker - I beg to differ. I understand being frustrated with the top dogs who work a fraction of the year - but I guarantee you - if you look at the government workers who make up the majority of the departments that actually do the work (health care, social services, child support etc.) - there’s a lot of people working their tails off with limited resources. I’m just saying…
fair enough, megan. sorry if i offended you.
