The right hand "conveniently" doesn't know what the left hand is doing. UNH is trying to make the numbers look good in spite of their recent "stock option scandal." If they don't pay your claims you can file a complaint with your state insurance board. That will usually get their attention...and a sometimes a hefty fine.
