I’m SEAN PATRICK COON — an experience designer and digital activist, born and raised in Montclair, New Jersey, trying to make a living and a difference out of Greensboro, North Carolina.

In a past life, I led the User Experience and Information Architecture practices at Ameritrade and Xpedior, respectively. Hands-on positions included gigs as lead information architect for Personal Publishing at Tripod/Lycos, information architect at Organic Online NYC, interactive art director at DVCInteractive and game designer at Learn Technologies Interactive.

My current focus is as the Principal of dotmatrix, an experience design consultancy and next-gen music service.

When I’m not specifying forward-thinking information architectures and user experiences for hire, I try to spend my time teaching, playing ball, mentoring, writing poetry, enjoying live music (Hip Hop, Jazz, Blues, Americana, etc.), publishing my perspective and finding new ways to enrich my life with the knowledge of others.
